Jazz [YouTube link], an impromptu tune put together by Mel
Torme and Ella
Fitzgerald at the Grammy
Awards, broadcast in February 1976. Sadly, Mel and Ella are no
longer with us; but we are living in an era where jazz is almost never
mentioned (or featured) as a category during the Grammy broadcast, so seeing
something like this is like the discovery of a rare gem from some sort of
paleolithic era in television history. Enjoy!
