"HERMENEUTIC:  THE TRUTH AND AYN RAND"

R. W. Bradford reflects on the reviews of Ayn Rand: The Russian Radical, written by Lester Hunt (for Liberty) and James Lennox (for Reason and the IOS Journal). Bradford praises Sciabarra's research into Rand's Russian roots, but disagrees with Sciabarra's and Hunt's assessment of the Rand-Lossky link. Bradford agrees more with Lennox's assessment, but criticizes Lennox as a "defender of the faith." He concludes that Sciabarra's thesis is "overpowering," that "the evidence Sciabarra presents that Rand was influenced by the philosophy of Russia's Silver Age is thorough and convincing."
